The first week starts off busy with the layout finish and tie rebar for the foundation along with excavation of the foundation for the wet bin. A tunnel is excavated with the tie rebar and forms set for it. The tunnel slab is poured.
Water was pumped from the bin footer and forms set for the bin and tunnel walls. Bin and tunnel walls were then poured this week.
The forms were stripped from the inside of the bin and tunnel walls and the bin backfilled. Backfilling is complete as of week 3 with the forms being built now for the tunnel cap.
The bottom 4' of the outside forms were stripped this week and the formation of the tunnel cap was finished.
The site is prepped for pour and the bin floor poured. The existing concrete where the new bucket elevator will be is tore out.
Week 6 sees the assembly and installation of the dryer sections, pre-assembly of the dryer roof sections, and finish stacking of the dryer. Access platforms and wind bracing is installed and drag conveyors assembled.
